Personal Characteristics

43 year old female

Clinical Characteristics

Mammogram physical exam showed no palpable abnormality mammotome biopsy dcis seen on microscopy one tissue core contained two intraluminal giant cells of foreign body type with following characteristics; (-)cytokeratin, (-)oestrogen -(-)progesterone (+)CD68 in the other tissue core, microscopy revealed two ducts with intraluminal giant cells surrounded by concentric layers of fibrotic tissue. One of the ducts was filled with calcified necrotic debris and the other with fibrotic tissue containing multinucleated giant cells with intracytoplasmic debris and a few residual carcinomatous cells

Remission Characteristics

Follow-up microscopy showed residual intermediate and high‐grade solid and comedo type dcis and numerous round‐to‐oval scars consisting of layers of collagen fibers
