58-year-old woman

Clinical Characteristics

Presented with upper abdominal pain. CT angiography demonstrated multiple fusiform aneurysms restricted to intrahepatic branches of the hepatic artery. The diagnosis of segmental arterial mediolysis (sam) was made. Treatment was conservative, consisting exclusively of antihypertensive therapy.

Remission Characteristics

1 year later, the arterial dilations had completely regressed
