Personal Characteristics

Female born at 35 weeks of gestation

Clinical Characteristics

The patient was referred at 36 days of age with papules over her forehead and trunk. Physical examination revealed an infant with multiple, elevated reddish brown papules. Bone marrow smear prepared from a very small amount of obtained material showed leukemic cells. A skin biopsy also showed infiltration of leukemic cells. A diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia (aml; fab m5b) was made. Fish analysis identified three signals of kat6a in 95.1% of cells

Remission Characteristics

The skin nodules regressed spontaneously. She attained complete remission at around 90 days
