Heart (left circumflex artery)

Personal Characteristics

58-year-old male, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, and family history of premature cad

Clinical Characteristics

Underwent diagnostic testing with coronary computed tomography angiography (ccta) in 2017 it showed non-obstructive cad and a coronary artery fistula arising from an aneurysmal proximal left circumflex artery and draining into the right atrium.

Remission Characteristics

In 2024, with new symptoms of exertional shortness of breath. A new ccta revealed spontaneous subtotal closure of the coronary artery fistula

Proposed Remission Mechanisms

Potential involvement of factors such as embolism and vasospasm within the fistula.
