Disease Location
Broad-based exophytic bone lesion in distal femur with continuity in medullary capillary
Personal Characteristics
12-year-old male
Clinical Characteristics
Mr image displayed dark signal-intensity lesion posterior to skeletal stalk, with pulsation artifacts MRI revealed partially thrombosed pseudoaneurysm with pulsation artifacts doppler sonography examination CT angiography
Remission Characteristics
Follow-up radiograph displayed stalk disappearance, but also development of soft tissue mass in sital thigh
Treatment & Mechanisms
Proposed Remission Mechanisms
Osteochondroma is proposed to have initially reduced pseudoaneurysm, whose enlargement induced pressure erosion in the original tumor
Clinical Treatment
Anti-inflammatory drugs surgical removal of pseudoaneurysm autologous venal patch angioplasty
