Clinical Characteristics
Low-grade follicular lymphoma involving the breast during a mammographic screening for breast cancer in october 2012, a category 3 mass in the left breast was detected needle biopsy in november led to a diagnosis of grade 1 fl at the hospital, the mass in the breast was about 12.5mm in diameter, non-tender, elastic-soft consistency, and mobile. Overlying skin and nipple were normal at first exam, biochemical tests revealed only a mild increase of serum ldh mammography showed a high-density mass with a smooth border in the left upper quadrant of the left breast ultrasound revealed a hypoechoic lesion measuring 9.4x6.7x9.3mm in size with evidence of rich blood flow fdg-PET-CT revealed fdg accumulation in the left mammary gland (suv = 1.5), mesentery (suv = 1.8) histopathologic findings of needle biopsy specimens found formation of somewhat indistinct lymphoid follicles and the germinal center was composed mainly of small cells positive staining or bcl2, CD10 and 20, and mib 1 index was 10%. B cells showed surface kappa light chain restriction. Fish revealed igh-bcl 2 reciprocal translocation bone marrow biopsy found small paratrabecular lymphoid aggregates, southern blot analysis of marrow blood cells revealed rearrangement of the ighjh gene clinical stage of grade 1 fl diagnosis was determined to be stage iva and the patient was determined high risk because of overall good condition, there was no treatment
Remission Characteristics
November 2013, after one year and 2 months of follow up, she remains well with no palpable mass due to spontaneous regression
