Personal Characteristics

17 -year-old male asperger's syndrome, psychosis and complex partial seizures

Clinical Characteristics

Presented with a month's history of frontal headaches with no exacerbating or relieving factors, no visual disturbance, verightigo, hearing disturbance or dysphagia. Clinical exam was normal MRI did not reveal any significant abnormalities. 6 months later, seizure frequency increased and another MRI was conducted and demonstrated a cerebellar tonsillar ectopia (6.83 mm) consistent with cmi, no abnormal ventricular size or other intracranial pathology. There was no prior convulsive episode or lumbar puncture to the second MRI

Remission Characteristics

A third MRI 6 months later revealed cerebellar tonsils were in normal position
