Case Details

Personal Characteristics

Middle-aged mother of a large family, history of cancer in the family (father - stomach cancer, maternal grandmother - breast cancer)

Clinical Characteristics

Cardiac hypertrophy, insufficiency of the left auriculoventricular valve, severe attacks of angina pectoris, retroversion, engorgement, hardening, eversion of the os uteri, four small, hard, marble-like tumors behind the uterus, severe pain in the pelvis, profuse vaginal discharge, menorrhagia, loss of appetite, loss of flesh and strength, nausea, cold and sweaty legs up to the knees, stomach distress, constipation, nervous restlessness, high colored and rank smelling urine

Remission Characteristics

Heart normal in size, valvular insufficiency hardly perceivable, angina pectoris gone, uterine disease relieved, tumors disappeared, uterus mobile, discharges normal, urine clear, restoration to active duties

Treatment & Mechanisms

Proposed Remission Mechanisms

Dietary changes, specifically the consumption of tenderloin steak, broiled and cut up very fine, fed every four hours

Dietary changes, good nursing

Additional Notes

Patient was fed against her appetite, the quantity of meat was increased gradually over two months. The patient was also moved to the seashore where she began to get an appetite. No medicine was given after the food treatment, save Hoffman’s anodyne when she had palpitation of the heart and suffocation of breath.
